Date Command:

date
The date command will show you current date.

Passwd Command:

passwd
The passwd command will be used to change the password of logged in user where as if we want to change password of another user we can use the bellow command

passwd dinesh

Head/Tail Commad:

head /etc/passwd
Code:
tail /etc/passwd

The head and tail command shows begining to end of a file where as these two commands are a option called -n that shows only given number of lines for example:

head -n 7 /etc/passwd
Code:
tail -n 7 /etc/passwd

WC Command:
wc command counts lines, words, and characters of a given file. It has some options like -l, -w or c to display lines, words and characters respectively.

Example:

wc /etc/passwd
wc -l /etc/passwd
wc -c /etc/hosts

History Command:
History command displays the list of previously executed commands

Example:

history


Note:
  • Linux Commands are case sensitive.
  • It has Manul pager for all coomands.
  • For fullfill of any command tab can be used
